आमच्याबद्दल
We are building the digital bridge that connects every reader in Maharashtra — and beyond — to the knowledge they deserve.
आमची भूमिका
Dnyan Setu — meaning "Bridge of Knowledge" in Marathi — was born from a simple conviction: access to books and learning should never depend on geography, income, or circumstance. We started with a single reading room in Nagpur and have grown into a statewide digital commons.
Today we serve students preparing for competitive exams, researchers chasing rare manuscripts, children discovering the joy of stories, and lifelong learners who believe the act of reading never stops. Our catalogue spans Marathi classics and NCERT textbooks to international research journals and audiobooks in 32 languages.
Every resource on our platform is verified, curated, and freely accessible. We partner with publishers, universities, and government bodies to ensure that Dnyan Setu remains a trusted, ad-free space for genuine learning.
आमची मूल्ये
Every student, researcher and curious mind deserves free access to knowledge. Paywalls do not belong between people and learning.
India speaks in many voices. We celebrate every language — Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and 29 more — as equally deserving of a digital home.
Our librarians review every resource before it enters the catalogue. Trust comes from quality, not quantity.
Reading is a social act. We build spaces — digital and physical — where communities learn together, not in isolation.
Audiobooks, screen-reader compatibility, large-print editions and offline access ensure that no reader is left behind.
Digital lending reduces paper consumption. We believe the greenest library is one that puts books in people's hands, not landfills.
आमचा प्रवास
A single 400 sq ft reading space opens in Nagpur's Dharampeth neighbourhood with 800 physical books and a dream of digital lending.
The first version of the online catalogue goes live with 12,000 titles and a mobile-first reading experience built for 2G connections.
All paywalls dropped during the pandemic. Readership grows 12× in six months. The free-access model becomes permanent.
Free library cards for every student from Class 1 to postgraduate, integrated with Maharashtra university databases and MPSC prep libraries.
The platform crosses one million monthly active readers across 12 districts, with branches in Pune, Aurangabad and Nashik.
Partnership with 700+ institutions, 32 languages, audiobooks, research journals — and the bridge keeps expanding.
